VOCA's identity rests on four words — Faith, Truth, Unity, and Impact.
They are not ranked; each is a corner of one structure, and the platform is incomplete if anyone is missing.
Faith
Faith is the foundation every believer affirms before anything else about VOCA is explained. Our confidence is in God, not with anything else.
Truth
Truth is our relational standard and our editorial standard. To the press and the public: reporting that is accurate, verified, and unafraid. No hidden agendas.
Unity
Unity means one shared platform: shared voice, shared resources, shared opportunity, with no single tradition's dialect left out or winning. Not doctrinal agreement — VOCA is taking hands across denominations and traditions.
Impact
Impact is the promise that something actually changes — in policy, in communities, in nations — because Africa's Christians found a voice.
The Significance of the Four Corners
Scripture uses “the four corners of the earth” as shorthand for totality — nothing left out, no people group excluded. Isaiah 11:12 speaks of gathering the scattered from the four corners of the earth; Revelation 7:1 uses the same image — four corners, four winds — for the whole of creation, every direction accounted for.
VOCA's four pillars borrow that frame deliberately. Faith, Truth, Unity, and Impact are not four separate ideas competing for attention — they are four corners of one structure, the way a tent or a building needs all four corners standing to hold anything up. Remove one, and the platform is structurally incomplete.
The image also carries VOCA's ecumenical promise quietly: a structure that gathers from every corner, every tradition, without asking anyone to stop being who they are in order to belong to it.
